Asia’s Premier Chemical Engineering and Technology Events: TNChE Asia 2026, ROPTC2026 & TIChE 2026 Convened in Thailand

Pattaya, Chonburi, Thailand – June 9–11, 2026 — The 5th Thailand International Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology Asia 2026 (TNChE Asia 2026), the region’s leading platform for advancing chemical engineering and industrial innovation, was officially convened at the Dusit Thani Pattaya Hotel. This year’s event was again hosted by the Thai Institute of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry (TIChE) in collaboration with PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC), SCG Chemicals Public Company Limited (SCGC), and DMS Universe. Under the theme “INSPIRING Innovations and Digital Solutions for Asia Sustainability,” the event was inaugurated by Mr. Narongsak Jivakanun, Honorary Co-Chair of TNChE Asia 2026 and Chief Executive Officer of GC. His compelling keynote emphasized the need for agility, innovation, and strategic foresight amid rapidly changing global industry dynamics.

Spanning 3 impactful days, TNChE Asia 2026 welcomed 3,956 participants (Increase of 20.1% from last year) from 376 organizations (Increase of 28.8% from last year) worldwide. Attendees included distinguished professionals, researchers, academic leaders, and corporate executives. The event aims to empower the chemical engineering community and industry through deep insights, technological showcases, and collaborative forums designed for real-world impact.

Four Highlights of TNChE Asia 2026:

  1. Topical Conferences – In-depth discussions on emerging technologies, decarbonization & sustainability strategies, and evolving industrial challenges.

  2. Community of Practice (CoP) Sessions – Four distinctive interactive forums for professional knowledge exchange and collaborative problem-solving.

  3. Technology Exhibition – A showcase of 64 exhibitors presenting cutting-edge innovations and decarbonization solutions as well as commercially proven technologies.

  4. Executive Networking – Invitation-only networking dinner offering high-level dialogues and strategic partnership opportunities among industry-academia-government leaders.

In a special ceremony following his opening address, Mr. Narongsak presented plaques of appreciation to 23 strategic event partners and officially opened the Exhibition Hall, leading a VIP tour through exhibition booths showcasing the current trends and future of the chemical industry.

TNChE Asia also featured an exclusive executive networking dinner, attracting over 150 high-level representatives from 50 companies, and fostering high-level engagement and collaborative momentum.

Driving Olefins Towards a Digital, Safe, and Sustainable Future at the 24th Regional Olefins Producers Technical Committee Conference (June 8-11, 2026)

In a landmark development for the region’s petrochemical and chemical engineering sectors, the 24th Regional Olefins Producers Technical Committee Conference (ROPTC 2026) was held alongside TNChE Asia 2026 for the very first time. This prestigious joint event is proudly hosted by PTT Global Chemical PCL and the Thai Institute of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry (TIChE). ROPTC is an exclusive, member-only event dedicated to the Olefins industry. This long-running technical conference offers a private forum for industry veterans to discuss the latest trends, safety protocols, and technical innovations in olefin production. The synergy of bringing ROPTC2026 under the umbrella of TNChE Asia 2026 created an exceptional hub where top-tier technical professionals, researchers, and industrial visionaries of over 150 ROPTC participants from ASEAN could comfortably interact and network with TNChE Asia participants. It underscored a unified ASEAN commitment to transforming operational challenges into process excellence and sustainable resilience.

TIChE 2026 Conference — Innovating for Net-Zero: AI, Circular Solutions, and the Future of Chemical Engineering (June 9 –10, 2026)

Organized by the Thai Institute of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry (TIChE) and Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Ubon Ratchathani University alongside TNChE Asia, the 35th TIChE 2026 Conference attracted 367 on-site participants from 19 academic institutions nationwide. The event served as a vibrant platform for students, young researchers, and educators to network, exchange ideas and showcase academic discoveries and innovations.

Key student-centered activities of the TIChE Conference included:

  • Student Chapter Workshop

  • Senior Project Contest 2026 – Featuring 26 projects from 14 universities, with 47 student participants

  • High-School Project Contest 2026 – Engaging 9 teams from 8 schools, with 32 students and teachers

TIChE Conference 2026 hosted 157 academic papers (99 oral and 58 poster presentations), reinforcing its role as a catalyst for academic excellence in chemical engineering.
