“Decarbonization for Sustainability in Thailand’s Process Industry” จัดทำโดยสมาคมวิศวกรรมเคมีและเคมีประยุกต์แห่งประเทศไทย (TIChE) เพื่อนำเสนอแนวทางและเทคโนโลยีการลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกในอุตสาหกรรมกระบวนการของไทย เนื้อหาครอบคลุมเป้าหมายระดับประเทศสู่ Carbon Neutrality และ Net Zero ตลอดจนเทคโนโลยีสำคัญ เช่น ชีวมวล (Biomass), พลังงานหมุนเวียน (Electrification), ไฮโดรเจน (Hydrogen), การปรับปรุงกระบวนการผลิต (Process Improvement), การดักจับและกักเก็บคาร์บอน (CCUS) และเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน (Circular Economy) เอกสารนี้เป็นแนวทางเชิงนโยบายและเทคโนโลยีเพื่อขับเคลื่อนอุตสาหกรรมไทยสู่ความยั่งยืนและการแข่งขันในระดับสากล
The White Paper “Decarbonization for Sustainability in Thailand’s Process Industry” by TIChE presents pathways and technologies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Thailand’s process industries. It outlines the nation’s goals toward Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero, highlighting key solutions such as biomass utilization, renewable energy electrification, hydrogen development, process improvements, carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS), and the circular economy. This publication serves as a roadmap for advancing Thailand’s process industries toward sustainability and global competitiveness
อุตสาหกรรมกระบวนการของไทยปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกกว่า 22.7 ล้านตัน หรือราว 7% ของการปล่อยทั้งหมดของประเทศ การบรรลุเป้าหมายการลดการปล่อยก๊าซ 30–40% ภายในปี 2030 การเป็นกลางทางคาร์บอนในปี 2050 และการปล่อยสุทธิเป็นศูนย์ภายในปี 2065 จึงเป็นภารกิจสำคัญที่ต้องอาศัยทั้งเทคโนโลยีและนโยบายควบคู่กัน โดยแนวทางหลักประกอบด้วยการใช้วัตถุดิบชีวมวลและพลังงานหมุนเวียน การพัฒนาไฮโดรเจนสะอาด การปรับปรุงกระบวนการผลิต การประยุกต์ใช้เทคโนโลยีดักจับและกักเก็บคาร์บอน (CCUS) และการส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน ซึ่งต้องได้รับการสนับสนุนจากโครงสร้างพื้นฐานที่ทันสมัย มาตรการและกฎหมายด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม กลไกทางเศรษฐกิจ และความร่วมมือจากทุกภาคส่วน เพื่อขับเคลื่อนอุตสาหกรรมไทยสู่ความยั่งยืนและความสามารถในการแข่งขันระดับโลก
Thailand’s process industries emit over 22.7 million tons of greenhouse gases, accounting for about 7% of the country’s total emissions. Achieving the national targets of reducing emissions by 30–40% by 2030, reaching carbon neutrality by 2050, and attaining net zero by 2065 requires both advanced technologies and supportive policies. Key pathways include utilizing biomass and renewable energy, developing clean hydrogen, improving industrial processes, applying carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) technologies, and promoting the circular economy. These efforts must be reinforced by modern infrastructure, strong environmental regulations, economic incentives, and collaboration across all sectors to drive Thailand’s process industries toward sustainability and global competitiveness.
