CAE/CFD focus group is a community of CAE/CFD specialists from academic and industrial sector with expertise in Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). For a wide range of industries, Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) is the widespread use of computer software to improve product designs or assist in the resolution of engineering difficulties. Simulation, validation, and optimization of products, processes, and manufacturing tools are all part of this. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is the mathematical modeling and numerical solution of a physical phenomenon involving fluid flow.

The objective is to build  community among who interested on CAE/CFD application in both industries and academic aspect. This focus group is in Digital Technology for Smart Industry community which organized by The Thai Institute of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry (TIChE).

Our community consists of active professors, lecturers and researchers with CAE/CFD expertise in a wide range of applications. Community members contributes to international publications in various field in CAE/CFD research including experience in industrial collaboration and CFD consultancy. CAE/CFD project work in chemical industry, turbo machinery, medical, aerospace, HVAC etc.

Our group has extensive experience working with universities, firms, and other organizations, and has access to a wide range of commercial, industrial, and open-source CFD codes/software.
